Central East GAIN Evaluation 2018/2019
Quality Improvement & Evaluation
The Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) is the standard of care for older people living with frailty. Evidence suggests that interventions arising from the CGA reduce caregiver burden, reduce ED visits/acute care admissions, clarify patient & care partner goals, improve functional status and mitigating frailty. The evaluation explored the completeness of the CGA during the initial assessments conducted across the Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network.
